This 926730 is a special low amperage model that offers reduced charging voltage. Designed to be used with small batteries and for models with in-tank (horse shoe) batteries. Hot batteries have an increased chemical reaction and therefore draw a higher amperage which, in extreme situations, can cause overcharging and present you with a boiling battery. This 926730 Low Amperage model will help prevent this.

Works with or without battery. For no battery operation a magneto ignition or capacitor is required.

Will replace the stock style mechanical regulator.
